Cloud-as-Ouroboros: the Post-Digital Infinite Scroll is a pavilion of the 7th edition of the Wrong Biennale.
Curated by Alan Perry, Snow Chen, & the Algorithm
Curatorial Statement:
The form of the ouroboros, the snake eating its own tail, is inscribed in both our digital microcosm and the celestial macrocosm: in the night sky as the twin astrological nodes of the Head and Tail of the Dragon, and in our palms as the infinite scroll of social media platforms as we consume content and regurgitate it back into the system as more content to be consumed. Within this pavilion, artists turn toward magick as compass and critical lens, to tap into a language of code or charm in order to navigate the post-digital cosmos. In defiance of technofeudal lords, we gather to dream in circuitry, to move unseen, and to reclaim the ineffable from data's devouring glare.

Curator Bios:
Alan Perry
Alan Perry (he/him) is a Chicago-based artist and curator who works with digital media, history, and technology. His projects explore how today's digital tools - like CGI animation, AI-generated images, and video effects - connect to older systems of power, belief, and ritual from pre-modern times, before the rise of modern science and technology.
As a curator, Alan brings together artists whose work looks at how tools and technology shape what we believe, how we see the world, and how images hold meaning and control. He is especially interested in how today's digital culture often repeats patterns from earlier societies around the world, times when images, symbols, and storytelling were deeply tied to spiritual life, tradition, and authority.
Alan has organized exhibitions in galleries, schools, and community spaces where past and present ways of seeing come together in thoughtful and surprising ways.
Snow Chen
Snow (Sinuo) Chen is a multimedia artist and researcher whose practice explores cultural rituals and the dynamics of social media platforms and communities. Her work engages with techno-spiritualities, language, identity, and cyberspace, weaving art and technology to reactivate ancient narratives within contemporary contexts and to explore the shifting relationship between the virtual and the real.
